The Bridge Builder. . . 1000 Gifts

Every time fear freezes and worry writhes, every time I surrender to stress, aren’t I advertising the unreliability of God? That I really don’t believe? But if I’m grateful to the Bridge Builder for the crossing of a million strong bridges, thankful for a million faithful moments, my life speaks my beliefs and I trust Him again.

                                                                                                                                                         Ann Voskamp, One Thousand Gifts

I love this portrayal of God as the Bridge Builder.

Of course, Jesus built the Bridge of Salvation when He died on the cross for my sins and rose again. He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

But He builds bridges every day. . . how many times has He made a way, when my little pea-sized brain couldn’t figure it out?

When I stopped trying to span problems myself. . . and rested entirely in Him. . . . how He then showed me a Way?
